Gouttière Vide is a gutter-cleaning company based in Montreal. This page explains, in plain words, what information we collect on gouttierevide.ca, why, who can see it and what your rights are. We follow Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
What we collect
When you fill in the quote form:
- the address of the building, its type and its number of storeys;
- your name, your email and, if you give it, your phone number;
- your message and the photo of the building, if you attach one;
- automatically, your IP address, your browser type and the page the request came from.
When you call or email us, we keep what we need to reply to you.
Why
Only to reply to your request, prepare your quote and, if you hire us, plan the work and bill you. We send no newsletter. We never sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who can see it
- Us, at Gouttière Vide.
- Netlify, which hosts the site and receives the forms. Its servers are in the United States.
- Google, for our email (Google Workspace), the site’s typefaces (Google Fonts) and the measurement of our ads (Google Ads). Its servers may be outside Quebec.
Your information may therefore be stored outside Quebec. These providers may only use it to deliver their service to us.
How long
We keep your request while we handle it and do the work, then for as long as the law requires us to keep our business records. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Cookies and measurement
The site needs no cookies to work. It includes a Google Ads measurement tool, which sets cookies to tell whether a visit came from one of our ads. To refuse it, block cookies in your browser settings or adjust your Google ad settings. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address.
Your rights
You can find out what information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or ask us to delete it. Email info@gouttierevide.ca or call 514 812-6353. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Security
The site is encrypted (https) and only the people who handle your request can see your information. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information, as the law requires.

We may change this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the last update.
